BRIEF PROFILE

It was in the year 1960 when Rev.Fr. Joseph was born at Pallithode, CherthalaTaluk, Alappuzha, Kerala, India.Dr. Fr.V.P.Joseph is the founder-Director of Kreupasanam,which is a social cultural and spiritual centre was got ordained in the year 1985. As a priest Fr.V.P.Joseph betook himself to the pursuit of redeeming all, especially those who are left out and forced into the margins of society and it was not just as a mere act of mercy but as the act of justice, a fundamental right to dignity guaranteed by Our Lord Jesus Christ. Rev.Dr.Fr.V.P.Joseph made all the attempts possible to include all, conclude all by uplifting the humanitarian studies, liberal arts, stage arts and also the traditional and conventional art forms-stage arts which almost dwindled away in the course of time. Above all it is to be noted that Fr.V.P.Joseph all the while was more concerned about Marian Covenant Prayer of the Marian Retreat Centre Kalavoor, Alappuzha, Kerala .

The unique, illustrious and the excellent achievements of Rev.Fr.V.P.Joseph was examined, studied and was appreciated by Governments at home and abroad, Universities, Agencies and so on. Doctor of Letters was awarded by International Tamil University U.S.A in the year 2014 for his extraordinary services in promoting national heritage and devotion towards empowerment of humanity. Both State and Central Governments of India and catholic church appreciated and honored Rev.Fr V.P.Joseph for his achievements in the realm of art, social services, Humanitarian studies, liberal arts and so on. Fr V.P Joseph has served as a Government Nominee Board Member on Government Cultural Institutions such as Kerala SahityaAkademi-Thrissur, Kerala Folklore Academy- Kannur, SanskritiBhavan-Thiruvananthapuram.Served as the District President of the prohibition or the addiction program. Served as in the board of judges of the Kerala youth festival, Coir-Board appraised his contributions for women empowerment. Central Government honored him with Senior Fellowship for the contribution in the fields of Culture.K.C.B.C. honored for the culture activities at par with Christian Teachings. K.R.L.C.C. honored Rev.Fr.V.P. Joseph for the scholarly literature studies. In the year 2019 The C.D.P.I (Catholic Diocesan Priest of India) an Organization under C.C.B.I honored father for his contribution towards rejuvenation coastal folk art forms of Kerala.

He had served as assistant vicar in the following churches: Manakkodam, Kattoor, Thumboly and Pallithode. And then served as vicar in the Churches like Thaikkal, Vadakkal, Ambalppuzha, ValiyaKalavoor and in the Manakkodam Church he served as the Forane Vicar. Now he is the Vicar of the Jesus Baptism Church Thaikkattussery and Director of Kreupasanam,Kalavoor.
